VoicePrism™
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Solution

VoicePrism's PTSD Advisors

VoicePrism works with scientists, doctors, and stress experts in order to develop and deploy PTSD and Psychological Health screening instruments over the phone and Internet. The tragic consequences of PTSD on Service Members, Veterans and their families are so urgent and severe that the time to act is now. Below Below is a list of experts in PTSD and surrounding fields who feel that VoicePrism's Three-Tiered PTSD Solution could go a long way toward helping improve the situation (along with their specific comment as to why).

Jeffrey D Lewine, Ph.D. Director of the Alexian Brothers Center for Brain Research, Alexian Brothers Medical Center

VoicePrism offers a novel, cost-effective strategy for noninvasive assessment of stress levels. This has significant implications for the rapid screening for PTSD and it may be a very useful tool for monitoring stress levels during Exposure Therapy for PTSD. The method may also provide a means for assessing pre-mission stress levels, and thereby provide a predictive metric of performance during a combat mission. Finally, it may be possible to adapt the technology to screen for subtle markers of mild traumatic brain injury, one of the other signature wounds of the current conflicts. By using VoicePrism markers of stress in combination with functional brain imaging findings, a better understanding of the core neurobiology and remediation of stress-related conditions will be achieved.

Lukasz Konopka, M.A., Ph.D. ECNS, BCIA-EEG, Professor of Clinical Psychology and Neuroscience at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. 17 years with VA

VoicePrism has a significant tool that allows us to objectively evaluate an individual's mental health integrity without significant interference in their daily duties. VoicePrism may also provide us with the unique opportunity to predict and quantitatively assess for chronic, debilitating brain disorders. I am very impressed by the potential diagnostic benefits this technology offers our soldiers and their families.

Dr. Deborah Zelinsky, O.D., F.C.O.V.D. , External Member of DoD PTSD / TBI Grant Review Committee

Significant savings in both time and costs would allow all Soldiers to anonymously and effortlessly participate without being singled out during Reverse SRP by using Voice Prism's effective, non-invasive method. Mandating brief Voice Prism screenings for all members of the Armed Forces would circumvent stigmas and streamline proper treatment, thus improving quality of life.

Terry Lyles, Ph.D., Stress expert and military trainer (over 10,000 military personnel trained)

I am excited about the possibility of finally having an inexpensive stress monitoring tool that can assist in the early screening and recovery process of bad stress related to the screening and treatment of PTSD. I have trained and treated thousands of survivors of traumatic stressful events including victims from 9/11 and the ongoing war efforts around the world. I support the continuing research and development of VoicePrism's PTSD screening tool and believe it will radically influence the pre-screening process related to the early screening and measurement of treatment effectiveness for PTSD.

Tom Berger, Ph.D., Exec Dir, Veterans Health Council, Vietnam Veterans of America

A valid, standardized and consistent screening tool would be an important first-step in the diagnosis and treatment of PTSD.

Jennifer Duffecy, Ph.D. Clinical Psychologist Northwestern Preventive Medicine

Valid, reliable and scientifically sound assessment is the foundation to furthering research and developing effective treatment. A telemedicine assessment option is particularly elegant as it would serve to reduce many of the barriers that limit the use of mental health services, including practical barriers such as time constraints, availability of services, transportation, and cost as well as emotional barriers such as stigma and lack of interest.

Patrick B. McGrath, Ph.D., Director, Center for Anxiety and OCDat Alexian Brothers

I look forward to Working with this new technology to compare it to existing ways to assess PTSD, and to see how it will coincide with our Virtual Reality treatment program.

Paul C. Larson, Ph.D., J.D., A.B.P.P., Professor of Psychology, The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. 10 years with VA

Voice Prism offers an open door to the inner world of stress. In many cases the person with PTSD wants to get back to normal and may often be unaware of the degree of stress they carry with them; this can help identify the "walking woudned." Even for those who are painfully aware of their stress, this can become a valuable tool in clinical work, documenting the effectiveness of treatment and the restoration of functional coping.

VoicePrism has created a highly scalable and cost effective, multi-tiered PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) screening solution.
